After developing an interest in the stock market as a young man, I attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance. I have been advising clients for 18 years – the first eight at Smith Barney and at RBC Wealth Management since 1995.

Personal

I grew up in Edina, Minnesota in a family of six kids and attended St. Thomas Academy. I currently live in the Linden Hills neighborhood of south Minneapolis with my partner of 12 years, David Benrud, and our two dogs: Hudson and Per. Together our time is split between running, sailing, gardening, cooking and traveling. I am Board President of Clare Housing, an organization that provides a compassionate caring home for people living with HIV and AIDS. I am also a member of the Human Rights Campaign Federal Club, a political organization that works to ensure basic rights for GLBT people.
