Tuesday, August 24th, 7 - 8:30 p.m. at the Elsmere Library, Strategic Ways to Manage Debt: We'll discuss common methods for managing debt. Class includes budgeting, negotiating with creditors, consolidation of debt among other ideas. We'll address the financial consequences of too much debt.
Monday, September 13th, 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Appoquinimink Library, Coping with Job Loss: Losing your job is a major life event. We will examine the impact on a job loss on your life and your finances. We will discuss key ideas to coping with job loss and how to stay positive on road back to full employment.
Monday, September 27th, 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Brandywine Hundred Library, Funding Higher Education: 529 Plans: We'll examine the cost of college education, various ways to save for college and steps involved with paying for higher education. The focus will be on section 529 College Saving Plans.

Topics will include: cash flow, debt management, net worth and savings strategies. Great basics and discussion guidelines for talking with children about budgeting.
Monday, October 25th, 6:30 - 8 PM at the Brandywine Hundred Library,Your Future by Design: is a creative and thoughtful discussion about the priorities and values that drive your decisions in planning for retirement. The discussion is centered on 8 key life areas: family, health, home, lifestyle, work, business, legacy, mind and spirit.
Monday, November 8th, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Appoquinimink Library, Making Cents of Your Money: We will discuss the basics of personal finance, examining goal planning, savings strategies, handling credit and putting it all together. Program is geared towards young adults, but information is great for any age.
Monday, November 22nd, 6:30 - 8 PM at the Brandywine Hundred Library, ROTH IRA Converisons: Explore the Opportunity. A Roth IRA can be attractive to taxpayers for a number of reasons. To take advantage of a Roth IRA's potential benefits, qualifying taxpayers can fund a Roth IRA through annual contributions, rollovers of "Roth" assets from an employer sponsored retirement plan or by converting assets to a Roth IRA. We'll examine the benefits and pitfalls of Roth IRA conversion.
