We work with our clients on all aspects of plan development and ongoing management to create a retirement plan experience that helps meet the needs of the participants we serve.

Stephen Meyers Senior Vice President - Financial Consultant, Consulting Group (206) 621-3119 steve.meyers@rbc.com Steve founded Retirement Plan Advisors (RPA) in 1989 in an effort to provide independent and objective assistance and advice to retirement plan sponsors during an era in which most consultants were simply purveyors of products. Graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Steve spent 7 years in the U S Army as a helicopter pilot. He was also the president of a multi store retail chain for 12 years prior to entering the financial services industry. He is active as a volunteer in the Seattle area where he is currently the Chair of the Northwest Kidney Centers Retirement Plan Committee as well as Chair of both the Centers and Foundation Investment Committee for the same organization. Also a member of the their Finance Committee, he has held similar positions with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Washington and the Redmond, Washington, Chamber of Commerce. Steve and his wife Peggy live in Bellevue, Washington, and have three children and three (currently) grandchildren.
Scott M. Merriman Senior Vice President - Financial Consultant, Consulting Group (206) 621-3141 scott.merriman@rbc.com Scott has been a Principal of the Retirement Plan Advisors since 1991. A graduate of Whitman College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, Scott earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation awarded through the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, he is a current member of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference an Advisory Board Member of the First Trust Corporation. Scott and his wife Tiffany and their four children reside in Seattle where he is avid bicyclist and golfer.

Joseph EschbachCFA Associate Vice President, Senior Financial Associate (206) 621-3142 joe.eschbach@rbc.com Joe is a graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. In his over 20 years of investment experience, Joe has worked as a retirement plan sponsor in his role as a benefits manager for a major retail chain as well as an investment analyst for the Frank Russell Company specializing in international investment management. In his position as a Principal of Retirement Plan Advisors, Joe is responsible for managing the investment consulting group, providing plan sponsors with detailed analysis and recommendations on their plans’ investments. Joe has been with RPA since 2000. Joe is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northwest Kidney Centers and is an avid mountain biker and hiker. He and his wife Deanne have two sons and live in Bellevue, Washington.

SchultzManager Plan Operations & Administrative Services (206) 621-3117 mary.schultz@rbc.com With more than twenty years of administrative experience at regional professional service firms, Mary Schultz oversees client administrative services. She coordinates the technical details involved in establishing, converting and maintaining client retirement plans. She works closely with a dedicated administrative team to ensure that our retirement plan clients, both startup plans and existing plan conversions are properly implemented and serviced well on an ongoing basis. This includes working with clients to smooth transitions for participants, plan sponsors/trustees and third party administrators.
Brooke HawleyAssociate - Education & Communication (206) 621-3222 Brooke Hawley coordinates Educational Meetings and Educational Material for plan participants. Her ability to focus on current events ensures all educational information is current and relevant. This provides participants with essential information to make informed choices on their retirement plans. Brooke brings four years of banking and finance experience as well as exceptional communications skills and unparalleled enthusiasm.
Jessica S. ThorsenInvestment Associate (206) 621-3149 jessica.thorsen@rbc.com Jessica Thorsen has worked in the industry for 9 years. She began her career as a receptionist and moved her way up to her current position. She has worked with RPA since 2006. Jessica assists plan participants by speaking with them on the phone regarding their individual needs. She also facilitates the billing for all of the retirement plan services, and supports Mary Schultz with administrative duties.
Abby J. PrisemanSenior Client Associate abby.priseman@rbc.com Abby graduated from Washington State University in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. She joined the Retirement Plan Advisors of RBC Wealth Management in November of 2007. Abby provides analysis and reporting, and prepares customized quarterly reports for retirement plan clients. |
