How to Transfer Your Account to RBC Wealth Management

Step #1
In the next few days, you will receive a package containing the necessary forms to transfer your account.

Below are samples of the documents you will receive, along with an explanation of each. I will contact you in the next few days so that I can personally walk you through the process of filling out these forms and answer any questions you may have. Please don't hesitate to contact me in the meantime at my new phone numbers.

Account Transfer Form (ACAT)
You will receive one Account Transfer Form for each account you maintain. This form will need to be signed by the appropriate account owner(s) in order to initiate a transfer of your account(s) to RBC Wealth Management. Once an ACAT form has been submitted, assets are typically transferred within five to seven business days.

Form W-9
For each taxable account you wish to transfer, there is a Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification (Form W-9). Please complete and sign.

Please send the forms, along with a copy of your most recent account statement, so I can begin the process of opening your account(s) and transferring your assets to RBC Wealth Management.

Client Worksheet* (Person and/or Entity)
In order to protect your privacy and abide by industry regulations, I was unable to bring copies of your client files, account statements and records with us when I left our previous firm. Therefore, I will also be working with you to complete a Client Worksheet in order to expedite the opening of your account(s).

Step #2
Once the initial steps have been completed, I will either mail or hand-deliver to you a second packet that will include your new account documentation. This information requires your signature. Please review, sign and return these documents in the postage-paid business reply envelope. These documents must be returned within 30 days of your receipt.
